Win Free Registration for the 5th Annual Tour de Donut Jul 02, 2012, 5:14 pm By Emily Haleck

“Ride. Eat. Ride. Eat. Ride!” Instead of energy bars and protein balls at pit stops, participants in the 20-mile Tour de Donut bike race are encouraged to eat donuts. If getting out of bed on a Saturday to bike for a good cause isn’t persuasive enough, maybe Tour de Donut’s promise of “hot, fresh-from-scratch, raised, glazed donuts from Maceys grocery store,” is. Participants get to eat donuts after each of three 7-mile laps, and for each donut they eat, riders will earn a three-minute time credit.

2011 Tour De Donut_342The 5th Annual Utah Tour de Donut is coming this Saturday, July 7. The Tour de Donut is the premier fundraiser for the Rotary Club of American Fork, Utah. Proceeds benefit the Lambert Park Trail in Alpine, Utah and World Bike Relief. As the title sponsor for the event, Bank of American Fork is excited to give away five, free, single-use registration promo codes. All you have to do is check out our post about the event on Facebook, and comment on the Facebook post with your answer to: What is your favorite community event to be involved in during the summer? We’ll draw five random winners at noon on Thursday, July 5 from the comments, and email each winner with a single-use promo code to register for the race.
