CEObuilder and Bank of American Fork invite you to join us on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m. for a roundtable of five experts on financing and accounting. You can also join the conversation on Twitter at #ceobuilder or LinkedIn.

This special finance and accounting roundtable is targeted to the following:

• Finance and accounting personnel—from bookkeepers to staff accountants to controllers to CFOs.

• All key executives who are held accountable for return on investment or other financial or performance metrics.

Agenda:

9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Introduction of forum participants and finance/accounting professionals
9:30 a.m.  – 10:30 a.m. Roundtable discussion of finance and accounting issues raised by participants
10:30 a.m. – 10:40 a.m. Break
10:40 a.m.  – Noon Continued roundtable discussion
Noon – 1:00 p.m. Lunch, opportunity to mix and mingle with other participants and finance and accounting professionals
1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Panel of finance and accounting professionals

John Briggs, CPA

Partner, Lunsford Peck

John Briggs is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a Master of Accountancy in Tax.  He worked on corporate taxes and trusts in Orange County, CA with Deloitte & Touche, one of the four largest national accounting firms.  His core belief is that when your tax and accounting needs are approached proactively, both can become a resource for you to create wealth in your life.

Bryant Armstrong, CPA

Partner, Squire & Company

Bryant Armstrong is a partner in the Technology & Business Advisory department at Squire & Company in Orem, Utah.  Bryant has 22 years of experience helping companies achieve financial success.  He holds multiple Microsoft certifications and has been implementing Dynamic GP since 1997. His areas of focus are Financial Reporting and Business Intelligence, Reporting and Scorecarding Infrastructure, and Accounting System Implementation and Training.  He has specialized in the following industries: Direct Selling, Government and Non-Profit, Distribution and Construction. He has extensive experience in implementing QuickBooks and assisting businesses understand their accounting information.

Jim Bennett

CEO and Founder, NOW CFO

Jim graduated from Utah State University with a BS in accounting. He is a CPA with over 20 years of combined experience in public and private industry accounting. He has been instrumental in developing and executing business plans and restructuring strategies and fostering value-added relationships with strategic partners.

Gwenda Houston

Associate, NOW CFO

Gwenda Houston has 13 years of accounting experience.   She has been a CFO, as well as a controller, for six years in industry.  Gwenda began her career in public accounting and in six years worked her way from junior accountant to audit manager.   She has worked with wide variety of industries and companies in various stages of their life cycle, from start up to international consolidating entities.   Gwenda holds a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Montana and is a licensed CPA in the State of Idaho.

Kammy McLachlan

Associate, NOW CFO

Kammy McLachlan has 16 years of accounting experience.   She has been a Vice President of Finance as well as a controller for four years in industry.  She has also owned her own accounting and tax practice for nine years.    Kammy worked at KPMG in the audit practice working on SEC clients, private industry, mining, oil & gas, and government clients.  She has worked on many different accounting systems and as VP of Finance she implemented and trained the staff on Great Plains software.  With her extensive knowledge of different industries and practices she is able to bring value to all her clients.
